Report Abuse. It is essential that you install the DB2 client because the driver does not connect directly to DB2 - it connects via the DB2 client. Could not find any documentation even remotely close to this on the IBM website. Which are db2cli.dll and db2odbc.dll (similar to the 64 bit ones but without the "o").
